Universal Technology participated in the 5th Cross-strait Seminar on Aerosol Technology, which was held from September 3-5, 2008. This seminar was co-hosted by the Chinese Society of Particology, CAS Institute of Earth Environment, and the State Key Laboratory of Loess and Quaternary Geology, for the purpose of enhancing research in the aerosols field as well as promoting cross-strait cooperation in science and technology. Thirty-five organizations from mainland China, 25 from Taiwan, and more than 100 people attended this 3-day seminar.

Organizations from mainland China in attendance included Peking University, CAS Institute of Atmospheric Physics, CAS Institute of Earth Environment, CAS Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, CAS Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Cold and Arid Regions Environment and Engineering Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences, Institute of Desert Meteorology, CMA Urumqi, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xinjiang University, Fuzhou University, Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, and Hangzhou Environmental Monitoring Center. Organizations from Taiwan included the Research Center for Environmental Changes, Academia Sinica.

During the event, Universal made a presentation titled “The Latest Development and Application of Aerosol Testing Systems from Grimm.” The presentation was warmly received and sparked further discussion among participants afterwards.
