September 25, 2009 – Yesterday, TOSOH Corporation of Japan and Universal (Hong Kong) Technology Co. Ltd together hosted a seminar on GPC technology. The event was held at TOSOH’s Technical Service Center in Shanghai.

More than 50 macromolecule researchers and GPC users from 30 different companies and enterprises attended the seminar. During the day-long event, technical experts from TOSOH and Universal gave various presentations on basic GPC theory, analytical techniques, recent developments in GPC technology (such as the use of fluorinated solvents in the GPC analysis of engineering plastics), TOSOH’s SEC columns, the history of GPC in TOSOH, as well as current GPC market trends in Japan.

After the presentations, seminar participants were given a tour of the TOSOH laboratory along with a hands-on demonstration of TOSOH’s newest integrated GPC, the EcoSEC HLC-8320GPC. The day’s events were concluded with a lucky draw, where three lucky attendees won Canon digital cameras.
