October 13, 2009 – Today at the CPhI Worldwide in Madrid, Spain, Ahura Scientific announced the release of a new software version for their handheld Raman spectrometer, the TruScan. Version 1.3.0 incorporates Chinese language capabilities for the user interface, management software as well as the user manual.

TruScan is a rugged, portable, very easy-to-use handheld Raman spectrometer that was specifically designed for the pharmaceutical industry. It is ideally suited for anti-counterfeit pharmaceutical drug work, as it can confirm the authenticity of a tested sample in the field within minutes. No particular sample preparation is required, and scanning can often be done through packaging.
